that attended Calhoun's prom last month.

3 Weddings and a Funeral

well... not really! But here's a couple
weddings & engagement and a TTD for ya! ;)

Small... intimate... spur of the moment...
we love these types of weddings! It proves
the point that bigger is not always better!
Brandon and Justeen are a perfect example of
this! Their private ceremony allowed them
time to get a ton of gorgeous shots that
many couples often don't get because of the
tight restraints they have on time during
the day. Don't get me wrong, we love the
big weddings too, but sometimes... it's the
little ones that leave the biggest impressions.

Here's a peek at Monty (Angie's brother)
& Misty's engagement session, along with
a pic from their recent wedding!!!

Courtney & Brent are great!
They definitely know the value of their
pictures! Being avid bow hunters, they
were definite on incorporating that somehow
in the pics. We had a beautiful location
to shoot at and every pic was perfect.

And finally Brittany, and her trash the
dress session. She has to know that she
is not only beautiful, but the strongest
woman I know! She has gone through more in
the last year, than many people go
through in their entire life... so she
was definitely overdue for some happiness
in her life! We are so psyched for her
and Logan and their new family unit!
We couldn't be happier for them.

Last Minute Seniors

For some reason, the majority of our Seniors
this year, swarmed in at the last second!
We were overwhelmed with sessions
in the weeks leading up to graduation!!!
Our Seniors come from everywhere!!
From the local Ripley & Ravenswood kids to
Parkerburg South and Warren to Southern
Racine and Calhoun! We love them all!! :)

Amanda is gorgeous and has no idea!!!
She was super shy to begin with, but
as the session moved along, really came out
of her shell! Congrats Amanda!!!

We love Kyle... and his Mom!
MaryAnn rocks! Kyle was super sweet
and was definitely doing this for his
Momma...but what good boy wouldn't?!
An awesome kid and a great baseball player!
Kyle is bound for great things!!

Kevin is our daredevil senior and
a huge liability!! We couldn't imagine being
his Mom... just kidding!! He rocked!
He climbed up into the rafters on the
bridge and wanted his pictures taken there!
Can you say... dangerous!!

Paul is a riot!! He is a joy to
be around and was so much fun to shoot!
His pictures put a smile on our
face every time we see them! He's
destined for good things... heck maybe
he'll even win a soap box derby one day! ;) lol

Lexy... the busiest Senior in
the ENTIRE world! This girl's schedule
is so packed, we don't know where
she has any time to sleep, let alone
get her senior pics taken! You name a
sport, this girl can play it and most
likely... way better than you! She's
AMAZING and we love her to death! We can't
wait till she has some free time to finish up
her session!!!

We have been soooo busy lately that we
haven't had two seconds to update this blog!

With all our last minute seniors and new
wedding clients, our days have been flooded
with shooting, editing and ordering!!

Not to mention our own family events!
A BIG Congrats to Jacob (Angie's nephew)
and Bre (our hubbies cousin) for their
recent graduations from high school!!

A Little Late!

Poor Austin! We forgot to blog him around his
birthday!! It seems like after the first baby,
every one that follows just seems to get left
out! But although we forgot to blog him,
you definitely can't ignore Austin!

He is the sweetest little guy! He is a non-stop
ball of energy and is basically a bull in a
China shop. He's completely adorable and has
the bluest eyes you will ever see! UMMMM wonder
where he got that!?!

We love you Austin!! Happy SUPER late 2nd Birthday!

Spring Break? What's that?!

We have been OVERWHELMED with business
the past couple weeks and we are LOVING it!
We have been so busy in fact, that I
haven't had much time at all to catch
everyone up with some post-peeks of
our recent clients! And although there
isn't a pic of this on the blog, we
also had a TON of kids show up for
our 1st Annual Easter Shoot!
Everyone did great!!! There were very
few meltdowns and everyone seemed to
have a GREAT time!!

Not only have we been busy with our clients,
we've also been busy attending photography
seminars, so that we can soak up new
knowledge that we can put to work in
your photos!

So now that spring is here, we only expect
to get busier!! YAY!

Wild Night!

Jodi brought daughters and nephew down
to attempt a group photo of the 3 of them!
The oldest was 3 so we knew we were
going to have our hands full! But we had no
idea how tough it was going to be!!! :)

They were adorable in their Easter outfits,
but NO ONE wanted their pics taken!
With a lot of coaxing, bribing and tickling
we managed to get through the session!
They ended up with a lot more pics than
we expected and we are super pleased with
the results!! Shooting a little one is tough, but
shooting 3 little ones is even harder! But with
kids as cute as these, it makes it just a little easier!

We hope Jodi is happy with these! They turned
out much better than either of us expected! :)

Sadie

Another Crazy Saturday!

Not only are we super busy this weekend
with our 1st Annual Easter Shoot, but
Saturday we were swamped with regular
appointments as well! Saturday
was packed with little ones along with
a family session and a maternity session!

Our day started off with the Shocks. They
drove all the way from Calhoun County! They
haven't had a family pic taken since Natasha,
the youngest, was 6! It was definitely overdue!
They were so sweet! These pics should make Mom
super happy!

Shortly after the Shocks, our wild day of chasing
little ones began! But surprisingly, every
appointment did great! It was a far cry from our
crazy Friday full of little ones who didn't
want to smile, let alone be in the picture at all!

We ended our busy streak with Jennifer's maternity
session. She is such a beautiful pregnant woman!
We were so happy she let us take our outside
and with the fact that she let us have total
control of the session. She ended up with
some amazing happy belly shots, that I just may
end up blogging more about later!!!

Momma's Boys

Sierra FINALLY brought little Hayden
back for us to get some new shots of
her little guy. The problem was, Hayden
isn't a little guy anymore! He has gotten
sooooo big! And to top it off, Sierra
has a new edition to her family... Carter!
So not only has Hayden gotten bigger, but
he's become a BIG brother too!

We were so excited to see them again
and we hope she loves her pics!

Morris Family

Amanda brought her boys down on Sunday
to attempt to get some pictures! I think
she thought it was going to be difficult,
but they did great! Cooper had just woke up
from a nap, so he needed a little time
to adjust to us, but once he did, he was
fine! And Levi... he's just a ham!
For every smiling pic we got of him, we
got 3 or 4 silly ones!

They even managed to all squeeze in for
a few nice family shots! They were awesome!
We hope they love their pics and we
can't wait to see them again!!! :)

Paityn

We had so much fun trying to
get little Paityn to cooperate
in the many positions we put her
in! She is super tiny and has

A Crazy Saturday!!!

Last Saturday was swamped with appointments!
The day started off with little Khloie who is so sweet!
She just turned 1 and is the tiniest little thing!
She was a grinning maniac! We love her to death!
She's an awesome model! :)

Then we moved on to the Harrison Family who
have 2 adorable little boys! Hunter (the 2 year old)
even named our wooden horse for us! The horse's
official name is now Pete! So cute!

After the Harrisons, I shot over to Sara's baby
surprise baby shower! Her baby girl is almost here!
Can't wait to photograph her!

Then it was back to the studio for one more family!
This time... my cousin Chad, his wife Andrea, and their
cutie patootie, Addyson!
Addyson is full of grins and rolls! We just love her!

Between having Lexi, snow and the distance

Josh and Kelly are so nice and their wedding
was incredibly sweet. Besides being the nicest
couple you could ever meet, their family was
nice too! Their wedding day had a couple
ups and downs, but everyone handled it with grace!

Easton's -Best Big Brother EVER!

Wow! Pregnancies really do go by faster the
more babies you have! So fast that it's almost
time for Sara's newest addition to make her
adorable debut! And can you believe Sara is
31 weeks pregnant in these pics and STILL in
her REGULAR jeans! Oh the envy!!! LOL

Easton is going to be the best big brother!
Having your babies close together does have
it's advantages! Your little ones end up being
so close! On the other hand they do tend to
fight... A LOT! LOL JD and Sara are definitely
going to have their hands full with 2 little
ones and JD had better start socking
his gun cabinet! If his little girl is half
as pretty as her Momma... he's going to
have major boy trouble!!!

January 1st... a new year & a new family!
Tyler & Marie have a brand new baby... Ian!
So we stopped by Doug & Debbie's to snap
a few of the fam and capture some pics of
cutie Ian! But let's not forget Kyra... she

And even with WVU's loss, everyone was still

We love trash the dress sessions, but this

A+ Photography OFFICIALLY has a studio!
Although it will be a few more weeks before we
are set up and open for business, we wanted to
give everyone the big news NOW!

We are located on Washington St. in Ravenswood
for at least the next 6 months! Our ultimate goal is
to be in Ripley, but we needed something NOW!

We love our new digs and can't wait to shoot and
meet clients there! We will be working out
a whole new method to viewing and picking up prints
now that we will be in one location!
Big things are happening at A+!

Keep an eye out for our Open House date! I'm sure we
will have some goodies and discount opportunities that
you won't want to miss out on!

Fall weddings are absolutely gorgeous!
Especially when we are able to get outside
and capture some of the beautiful colors in the trees!

Angie and Lauren shoot some beautiful photos of
this small country wedding... the yellow leaves are to
die for! I just love them! They make the pics so much
more! I included a pic of their candle because it's
something different. I love how they have their names
etched in it as well as his childrens.

An A+ Christmas!

Angie and Patty had their work cut out for them
this Christmas! Appointments were scheduled for
three different dates this year and almost every
slot was full!

Here's a couple samples of the scene that was used
this year! Hopefully we will be able to start
shooting a scene for a couple different holidays
throughout this year!

Welcome Lexi!

On November 9th, 2009 at 6:41 pm,
Dustin and I welcomed our newest
addition, Lexi Leigh-Ann.
She was 7lbs 11oz, 19inches
and 4 weeks early!

She was an easy C-Section, but our problem baby!
Shortly after her arrival, she began
having difficulty breathing and was shipped
from Camden Clark to Women's
and Children's in Charleston. She spent 10 days
learning how to breathe!

Now that she's home, our family is complete!
She fits right in and is the best baby!

Having a NICU baby is very difficult. Not
only for the Moms, but for the Dads, Siblings
and extended family members. Every one
is affected in some way or another.

Although we were lucky to have a complication
that would resolve itself on its own, not all
families are quite so lucky. Our 10 day stay is short
compared to many of the babies that end up in the
NICU! We are fortunate to end up
with a happy healthy baby!

We have become big supporters of the March of Dimes program
as well as being involved with the NICU at W&C.

Soooo sorry I haven't been able to
update this thing in a while!

With the birth of baby Lexi, then all the
complications that came with that, plus Christmas
and all the photography sessions that came before it...
it has been a complete mad house around here!

I will be updating like a maniac for the next
day or two so be watching for some of our newest sessions!

I may not write much about each session, but know that
we love all our clients and we love working with them!

AND after all the updating.... be watching for a special update

We love the Blackburns and we LOVE taking

Kaylei is a doll and had a blast posing

Happy Birthday Tyler!

Wow! 2 years has flown by!
I can't believe Tyler is turning 2!
I thought they were supposed to stay
little forever!?

Although he's getting bigger... he will
always be my baby. From his temper tantrums
to his cuddling, you never know what
to expect from Tyler!

He's a momma's boy, but acts like his Daddy.
He loves his cars, but would drop everything
to play babies with his sister.

I love this kid to death... and even though
I hate to see him grow up, I can't wait
to the see person that he's going to
become! LOVE YOU TYLER!!!

A late celebration!
Jeremy & Jessica were married in HAWAII!
How cool is that?!
Angie and our trusty second shooter Lauren
had the privilege of shooting their reception
at the Green Hills Country Club.

Their reception was full of cute Hawaii details!
Nothing was spared in bringing the island life
back to all their guests in WV. They even had
the cutest cupcake cake... and those are sooo
hard to pull off!

Jeremy's love of golf is obvious... their pics
were full of cute golfing poses!

Jeremy and Jessica are sooo in love! They have that
giddy, giggly love that everyone needs in their life
and to have it in a marriage is AMAZING!

Lovin' Fall

Seems like all of our families want fall pics this year!
Too bad I'm on bedrest and can't do anything but edit, poor
Angie is running around like a mad woman trying to keep up
with all our clients!

We love it though!
Fall pictures are beautiful... who can blame
anyone for wanting them! Jarrod, Misty & little
Sahara are the cutest little family!
We loved their purple shirts and Sahara's knitted
pink outfit.. she looks like a little snow bunny!

Even though there wasn't much light left to take
as many pics as Angie would have liked to have got,
there were plenty to choose from! I had a hard time
narrowing down my favorites during editing and for

Kayla & Drew

Another engagement session!
Love must be in the air!
Kayla and Drew are another one of our 2010
summer weddings and we are super excited for them!

Kayla was a helper in Natalie's preschool last
year and we just love her to death! And another
connection with them is that Drew and Katie
(the cutie in the last engagement session we posted)
are brother and sister!

The picture of Kayla & Drew jumping was the
highlight of the session! Drew kept laughing and saying he
wasn't flexible enough to do that! But he'll be thankful
he attempted it when we recreate that shot at their wedding
and make a cool collage for them!

Angie told Drew she wasn't flexible either, but expected
everyone else to be, lol! I think the pic turned out super cute!
Thanks for being a team player Drew! LOL

These are the last set of maternity pics
I will ever have to be in!
Praise the Lord, lol! Don't get me wrong
I am soooo thankful for my babies, but pregnancy
is hard work... and being a Mom is even harder!

Now with little Lexi almost here, it's a complete
reality shock! I am going to have 3 babies 4 & under!

The chaos is never going to end! LOL
Don't assume photographers have the best of both
worlds... taking pics and having pics of your own
kids is such a feat! Not only is it hard... it's
exhausting! These pics took less than an hour, but
let me tell you... they were hard to get! LOL

With a prayer and a lot of editing we got them done!
I highly doubt I will ever have a decent pic of my
family... so I am grateful for anything I can get!

Not that my kids listen to her anymore than they do me.**

Kristen and Matt are a BEAUTIFUL couple

They lived beside each other practically
their whole lives and never dated until
after high school! Now look at them...

Thorn Wedding

We have the nicest brides & grooms!
Everyone has been soooo nice and appreciative
this wedding season! We LOVE that! It makes our
jobs soooo much easier! And it makes the pictures
we shoot even more amazing!

The bride - Katie and her dad arrived in their
own personal horse drawn wagon. How cool is that?!
And then the bride and groom - Drew gained some extra
horsepower as they left the ceremony site and rode a
couple hundred yards away to the reception in a
Corvette convertible.

This wedding really had some cool perks!
Katie and Drew's wedding cake really topped the
evening off! It was the perfect wedding cake for their
country themed wedding! Its design was so good that
Angie and Crystal (who helped since I am stuck at home
to do nothing but edit, blog and take pics of my friends
babies, lol) didn't even know it was the wedding cake!
They took pics of this, but didn't know that it was the
cake for the longest time!
Super cool!

Davis Wedding

I didn't have the privilege of shooting this wedding,
so Angie grabbed our photog friend Allie and dragged her
along! She was such a big help! Her pics really complimented
the style we strive for!

The bride and groom are the nicest people ever! They are
so appreciative of everything and they really had a good time
throughout the entire wedding!

A huge storm was on its way prior to the wedding, but it gave Angie
and Allie the coolest shot with a RAINBOW!!!

Even though this organized teacher had everything planned to a T,
the rain got in the way! Angie said it rained harder than she had ever
seen just 5 minutes before the wedding!
But the bride and groom just went with the flow!
They were soooo easy going!

The ring bearer was such a ham. He acted like he didn't
want his pictures taken... but as you can tell... he
definitely didn't mind at all!

Since the bride and groom saw each other before they had a ton of
photos together and their transition from wedding to reception
went soooo smooth! The guests weren't kept waiting and the stress
level was nonexistent!

We wish these newlyweds all the best! They were GREAT!

Welcome Addyson Elaine!

Meet little Addyson!
She is the tiniest full term baby I have seen
in a while and I am in love with her blonde hair!

Chad and Andrea have waited a long time for this
little girl and they couldn't be prouder of their
newest addition!

Natalie went with me to visit her newest little
cousin and she was in LOVE! She held Addyson
forever and played with all her little parts.

Now all she talks about is her baby sister
and when she will be here! She's sooo excited!

Here's our newest addition to the newborn
archives... CARSON!

He is sooo teeny tiny! We did this shoot at
his home in Spencer. We love when the shoot
is this personal...it's our FAV!

We also tried to shoot a couple pics with his
sister, Emily and then some of her by herself,
but boy is she a runner! Angie really got a work

2 Cuties at Once!

Since I'm supposed to be on bedrest...
we doubled up my bestest friends' babies
so that it would be a little easier for everyone!

We attempted to take Drew's pics; however, she
seems to get hurt anytime she's getting her
pics taken. So needless to say we got about 10 shots
in and a huge, freaky looking bug landed just beneath
her eye and apparently bit her because her eye
swelled instantly!!! But she was a trooper! She
didn't cry or anything! She smiled through the swelling!
Hopefully we can get her out again before I kill over and
get a few more of her! She's so stinkin' cute!

Jayse on the other hand didn't get bit, lol, but was
a little handful! He hated, I mean HATED the tires, so
luckily we had the tractor on standby... and he LOVED it!
Although he probably didn't get as many as his Mommy would
have liked... they are still pretty stinkin' cute!

Growing Up

With Ashlyn turning 5 and going to kindergarten,
Natalie getting ready to turn 4 and going to preschool
and the boys almost 2...we are quickly finding out
how fast time really flies!

Angie painted tires in some really awesome colors and

You know they are getting too big when they easily
cooperate for pics!

Trust me... there was a time when all Natalie did was SCREAM

This swim team is packed with personality!

Shooting this sport is probably one of the
more difficult sports we've done.
The opportunity to get the shot is in a small window and
with crowds of people around the pool, getting
close enough is a real challenge!

We shot a meet and their individual/team photos.

This gave us an opportunity to make some really cool

actual wedding day!

It's just a silly name for coming back post-wedding
and getting some completely unique and beautiful

Archer Wedding

Meet Brad & Erica!

They are tooo cute!
They had one of the prettiest receptions we've seen in a while.
The black and white damask with the highlights of pink was beautiful!
Let's not forget about the food... which was absolutely delicious!

If you need a caterer... Little Creek Country Club in
Charleston made some amazingly great food!

They also had a super cute idea that we haven't seen
at any of our weddings. There were cards on a table
with the favors that you could grab as you were leaving
that gave instructions on how you could upload photos
you had taken at their wedding to a site that would allow
them to see and print them if they wished!

Super AWESOME! Don't waste money on the disposables
for the table... that lets face it never get filled up and
then never end up getting printed! Try this idea... super cool!

Catch up Time!!

Long time... No Blog!

This summer has been soooo eventful!
From weddings, to reunions, to the many many new babies born this
summer, we have just been swamped!

Nathaniel Sean Bright

Jillian had her beautiful baby boy on June 22nd
after a long haul. This boy did NOT want to come out!
I've been there... I felt her pain! :(

But a little before 7:30 pm, baby Nate FINALLY made
his debute via c-section.

8lb 7oz of pure cuteness!
The 2.5 hour drive was so worth it! Not only
did I get to see my BFF, I got to hold her new bundle of
joy. Not to mention take his first photos!

I can't wait to get back to Lewisburg to shoot him some more.
He is just gorgeous!

Felter Wedding

Tara & Justin were a blast!
They were sooo organized, we had time to spare!
Having all that extra time allowed us to

We love Mindy & Curt!

It's amazing how fast a year flies.
It's seems like we took their engagement pictures yesterday!

Their small, elegant wedding was perfect!
They couldn't have asked for a better day.
Well... maybe that the rain could have held off a little longer!

We are so happy with the way their pictures came out

Trash the Dress Shoot with Oh Snap!

Angie and I recently got together with some of our fellow photogs
and shoot a gorgeous bride-to-be at Audra State Park in Buckhannon, WV.
Even through the miscommunications, cancellations and
just random craziness, it was really a great time!

Trash the Dress sessions are a GREAT way to get AMAZING pics of
you and your dress... and your groom if he wants to tag along. :)
These pics are always taken sometime after the wedding,
but this bride-to-be just happened to have an
extra dress... just laying around, lol. :)

It's great getting together with other photographers

Little Miss Emily

Oh Miss Emily!
We can't get over how gorgeous she is!!
She is such a ham too, but I don't
think I've ever met a 3 year old who isn't! :)

We have been shooting Miss Emily's birthday
pics ever since she turned 1... she's definitely
one of ours!

Each year we watch her grow in pictures and
can't wait to shoot her again!

Her favorite pose during the shoot was her
infamous "Hip Hop Abs" pose. SO ADORABLE!

On the way home... Emily told her Mom that
Angie was a good "taker picture".
So I guess that's a 3 year olds way of saying
Angie rocked! :) Good judge of
character that Emily ;)

Kasee & Bobby - Maternity

A little Cowboy is on the way for these 2!
Kasee & Bobby have waited a long time for this
bundle of joy and you can just see the
excitement in their faces!

This Mommy-to-Be is glowing and is

Jennifer - PreBridal

Definitely a planner!
This bride booked us EARLY last year and her wedding
is STILL 2 months away! She's a teacher so
planning is embedded in her system. :)
Jennifer and her girls were so much fun!
They seemed to really have a great time
preparing Jennifer for the shoot and coaching
her through each shot.

From the indoor shoot to the random driving
patterns to sneaking onto fields, this
session was a blast!

We hope Jennifer loves her pics as much as we do!

Bonner Family

We love families!
Especially families with little ones!

We've shot this family since Allen was a baby.
We love watching our clients grow up in the pictures we take.
It also keeps us on our toes with new ideas to use!

Emma was only 10 days old for her first family shoot! How cute!!
So not only was she getting some newborn shots done, her older
brother Allen was getting some 2 year shots as well!

It was a day full of pictures!
Allen has been in leg casts for a while now, so
he was taking FULL advantage of his new found mobility!

Wyatt

Little Wyatt is a heart-breaker in training!
He is soooo adorable!!!

He had his moments, but overall did such a great job!
That smile is gonna get him whatever he wants with his Momma!

Jen, his Mommy, did this crazy quacking noise that Wyatt
loved... just wish she would have broke it out sooner!

We will definitely remember that trick for next time!

Rain Rain Go Away!

I'm so glad it didn't rain!
This couple had already been rescheduled once due to rain,
and it looked like this day wasn't going to be an exception.
The weatherman forecasted rain for this day ALL week!

But no one wanted to reschedule... so we just prayed for sun!
Donte' is a minister... and even he said the Holy Spirit was
telling him the sun was going to shine and sure enough...

A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

God is WONDERFUL!

Christina & Donte' were a joy to work with and they are sooo
in love. They also have an awesome story too about reconnection...
so if you ever bump into these two.... you should hear their
testimonies.... I promise it will touch your heart!

Cutie Jenifer!

Angie shot this gorgeous senior and got some cute cute cute shots of her!
I'm so jealous! :)

We shot her BFF Cassie just a few weeks ago... or to you bloggers.... a couple blogs down, lol. I'm sure Cassie is a tough one to edit... there looks like there are sooo many good ones!

During her shoot... some local boys even whistled at her!
Don't really know how Mom felt about that... but I'm sure
Jenifer appreciated the flattery!

Oh and lastly... I hear her mom was one heck of a reflector holder!
What would we do without great moms who

Senior guys are my FAVORITE to shoot!
Probably because I have brothers and don't mind

Thomas is an all around GREAT guy!
